This stunning pendant was our final find at the Original Miami Beach Antique Show. We were rushing out the convention center to catch a flight, but she caught our eye —we couldn’t miss the chance to at least admire her! The pendant, crafted in 18ct yellow gold and Essex crystal, dates back to the late 1800s. She depicts a bouquet of beautiful cyan blue Forget Me Not flowers. A timeless treasure that truly captures the era’s refined beauty and craftsmanship.

Essex crystal, also known as reverse intaglio, gained popularity during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. These stunning pieces were originally made from rock crystal cabochons, which were carved on the flat back side. The image is carved in reverse and then hand-painted, creating a beautiful, dimensional design visible through the crystal.
